Stripes?

Can someone explain this to me? My lawn is to small for it but how dose it work? Dose it just get cut at an angle to appear like stripes? How long do they last? Is it something that is gone by the next service?

The grass is bent over. It is rolled over in opposite directions so the light hits and"reflects" off the side of the blade. Ill post pics of the roller that scag put on for me... Wifes car is blocking my mower... Ill post pics fri. morning for you

Ok so its very temporary then. The grass should be standing back up the very next day shouldn't it?

stripes are still prominant for 2-3 days. the more you mow, the more the grass gets "trained" to that position. Obviously you dont want to mow in the same direction every time but from what ive read, the stripes get better each time.
