Default New Marketting Idea

Alright!

I thought that I should go all out before winter & advertise my lawn service to my neighbors NOW.

I will go by each house & say, "I will ONLY charge you $15.00 to cut your entire yard, to see if you'd be interested in hiring my service next year"

Now this is for me personally, I'm coming up with a lot of free time & really wanna make some extra pocket cash.

I also hate having free time, & don't mind working just to make a dime with free advertising.

Sure I'll be used, people will pay me $15.00 and have me do their lawn without every hiring me, but I will make $15.00

As a reminder, I don't care about my time currently. But I thought I'd test out this strategy, someones gotta try different things & I think I'll be that guy!

$15.00 is a steal, everyone will most likely accept. If I put in 5 hours & bang out 15 lawns, $225.00 is mine.

A bit refuels my equipment, the rest is pocket money.

The day I do this will be brutal, but better than doing nothing all day. I could possibly get a few customers out of it, being a neighbor might just sucker them in

They can see the quality of the work done, the care I put into their lawn.

Though right now MIGHT be a bad idea because the cold weather has shifted the terrain around causing my mower to bob all over the place.

I'm still gonna do it!

GOOD IDEA? I want your opinions.

Personally I believe it depends on the person, if they are willing to do the amount of work for cheap pay.

Then again, there is no grass down here currently, it's all pretty much done for, so $15.00 is just for me to leave straight tire marks in the lawns.

Once again, this is something I'd rather do then sit on my butt.

Lawn care business tips
Have you considered getting them on an annual contract that renews each year until the cancel it? If they are in the habit of paying you every month, it would be easier for them to stick with you and easier for you to keep them around.

What are your thoughts on that?

It's something to consider!

I'm going to send out flyers tomorrow advertising the "END OF SEASON OFFER"

The paper I wrote up looks amazing, I'll have to post it up eventually!

Well the ones receiving the offer have average or so lawns. A bit on the smaller side.

Maybe 1500 sqft give or take.

The corner houses are, well bigger but they will be charged more.

So NORMALLY I'd charge $70.00 for houses of such size, 1500sqft give or take. But considering they are close by, It doesn't bother me to slash some prices & walk from my garage to their homes.

It's a ton of fun really lol

Scott, 1500 sq.', is that really a yard?? LOL

For that size you should only charge $15 year round. Maybe it's a 5 minute job to do. .. LMAOROTF

But wait a minute $15 x 4 weeks = $60 per mth. / 20 minutes = $3 per min., Hey not too bad. Go for it..
