Did you ever see the movie American movie? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02_mbe89rc4 A documentary crew captures every unbelievable moment of amateur filmmaker Mark Borchardt's attempt to complete his short horror film Coven. It's just unbelievably funny, quirky and amazing. After seeing this I had hoped Mark Borchardt was going to really get a chance to build upon the momentum created by this documentary but he must have had other things going on in his life. Now 10 years later he seems to have out a trailer for a new movie he is working on. It's called "The Hagstone Demon" 2009 Trailer. More quirkiness, absolutely. Bad story, most definitely but you gotta love it that he is experimenting and trying. If you ever had a desire to make your own horror movies, Mark's story should most definitely inspire you.

Lawn care business tips

Here is a great interview with Mark. What I like about it is that it's real. This guy is a down to earth real dude who has an interest in writing horror films, acting and filming them. How often in this world do you think about how you would like to do this or that? Or how often do you know people who say they would like to do this or that? Then think, how many people do you know who do? Mark is someone who does because he enjoys it and I think that is a fantastic way to live your life. Another thing I like about him is that all to often we look at people or things they are doing and they are just on a level that seems unreachable. We can drive down a street and see a McDonalds and say gee I'd like to own one of those, but the cost to get that going would be insurmountable to most people. Even a cheap restaurant has high overhead that tends to kill most new startups. But if you wanted to make a movie, you probably could put something together in the evenings or on the weekends for very low dough. And THAT is what makes it obtainable to those who are interested in doing it. That makes it inspiring. Mark is showing you, you can indeed do it if you just do it.
