Default The impossible takes a little longer!

Check out this job request.

2.88 acres that hasn't been touched yet this year.

The first picture is the only one that shows perspective as to just how tall the grass is.

The lot is 890' deep and 175' wide (cleared not counting the trees).

The housing market is starting to come back and the Realtor wants to make it look presentable (by Monday)!

I told her it would have to be mulched at least 3 times and would take longer than 1 day to accomplish. Rain forecasted for Sunday and Monday.

Quoted $500.00 and told her that if she had is done even weekly this year the total would have been more than $500.00. She said go ahead and I would be paid at closing. I whished her good luck and left!

Lawn care business tips
Wow bud that is a mess, not sure about realators.....we have had a few want us to do jobs and get pais at closing, not a chance I would take one of those on, at the same time we have done a few and paid upon completion, I helped the guys do a lot the other day, 1/2 acre, grass was over the headlights od the X500, I cut it at 5" while Sean followed me with a ZTR set to three, he was pulling a sweeper, had two guys trimming, finished in just over an hour, changed $350.00.

They had two other companies in, probably the trunk slammers that attempted to mow it but they didn't have the equipment to get through, looked like one fellow must have started with a trimmer then gave up.

Anyhow stick to your guns...

I would have walked, too. The only way I'd do a job where I'd get paid on closing is if I put a mechanics lien on the property. Even then I'd have to increase the price to pay for waiting for the money. Kind of like a late fee.

That seems real open ended. Has the property been up for sale the entire year? What makes them think it will sell anytime soon? Who knows when it might sell!

According to a neighbor, it has been up for sale since June of last year. I talked to him for about 30 minutes waiting for the realtor.

I did one of these last month (solo), paid upon completion. Aren't these realtors on contracts for a year? What happens if the house don't sell and the owners decide to sell it on there own or go with another realtor?

Do or would you get paid at the end of the contract if this happens?

I have no idea. I do know I won't do any job with these conditions.

Yes you would probably never get paid. Realtor contract depends what they agree upon. The house may be in foreclosure and when the banks takes it over! No Money No Realtor

The Owner of the house should be the one to pay you! Unless the Realtor is the owner.

If You do the job, I would love to see before and after pictures.
