From what I can make out, there are some on there that have a huge amount of people on their follower list, but it seems to me that those people are the 'internet marketing gurus' who have thousands of other 'internet marketing gurus' following them.

I don't know if they are helping each other in anyway really.

It's quite fascinating though.

Any time you can get a link to your site it is a good thing. In your posts, not all of them, you need to link to your site. Twitter is crawled at an amazing rate by Google and others because it is updated so often. Tweet Tweet Tweet.

Do you think it is possible that having the links from twitter to your site may actually help your business more because it will improve your natural search engine listings than what you are actually writing in twitter? Is that possible?

Steve, I have no idea, but let me tell you, its good for lots of exposure. I have been tweeting for 2-3 days I think and I have drastically increased the traffic to my forum. I have almost double the page visits so far this month when compared to last month and I contribute most of that to visitors that are solely from twitter.

I hope to get a few things listed on my website itself in the near future so I can start tweeting that as well and hopefully increasing my online sales. I am excited about what this could do for my online sales and possibly for my forum.

I like the way you are tweeting articles on this forum. That is kind of the same thing that I have been doing. I tweet and sometimes have 20-30 visitors INSTANTLY from that tweet. Granted, within minutes some or most of them are gone again but while they are there some of them look around at other articles as well. I see a lot more random traffic because of it as well. I think this will increase as I continue to increase content there. For example, I have several Power Equipment "FAQ" articles and continue to add more. I also have numerous Power Equipment Recalls articles and just general press releases there. This content continues to grow and I think will help bring more random traffic after the tweets.

How much of this do you feel is about finding the right people on twitter to follow in order to get them to follow you as well?

I would figure one using twitter would need to find their target audience or will their target audience find them?

How should a lawn care business owner go about finding people to broadcast too or is that even important?
