Default LOL damn ladder...

So I have this huge hedge trimming job to today, & another small one.

Though the problem I have now, is that I'm missing 2 of my ladders & an assistant.

I think my luck with hedge trimming is awful.

2 months ago, one ladder & gas hedge trimmer = stolen

I got another ladder, still have 2 ladders now. And I bought a crap trimmer.

Though both of my ladders are in my friends garage, & he's not home, & his phone is off!

.... NEVER FEAR!

I did a hedge job before where my hedge trimmer died & I completed a beautiful job with just my whippersnipper! It took some time, but I was proud!

Though how do I build a temporary ladder? These hedges are 20ft high man!

Maybe I'll do some jump swings...

Rain tomorrow...........

Alright so I did the small job & wanted to take a whack at the big job.

... I can't reach it ... lol

How would any of you go about cutting these hedges?

Personally from inspection, I'll need a chainsaw. The branches are pretty thick & I'm sure once I cut up to the fence line it'll look pretty bare.

It's a big job, I just don't know if I actually want to do it. I'll be there for days.

Anyone cut these types before? The skyscrapers, tree monster? I've done everything but this challenge. It's just too tall!

Tips?

Looks like you're going to need to buy a boom bucket for that job!!

Heck, go all out and get ya a helicoper! Then you can do all you're site surveys from the air.

Don't mind me, I call everything a hedge that needs to be cut & isn't grass. Or at least I call it hedge work, it's pretty general on what usually needs to be done.

I don't think I can take this job, I don't wanna be up on a ladder all day swinging a chainsaw.

I can't even get up high enough, & if I managed to thin it out, it'd look awful & bare.

How tall are these hedges and how long are they?

It's about 27 feet high & about 18 feet long. I have a 20ft ladder, it's just not a double stand, I'll be sure to fall to my doom.

I don't know how much the customer would pay, but maybe you could look into renting a small boom?
