Default Lawn care business is good for you

The lawn care business is being good to me (or my body anyway)!

March - weight 260# Pant size 46
April - weight 250# Pant size 44
May - weight 235# Pant size 42
Today - weight 229# Pant size 40

29 more pounds and I'll be where I was before I broke 3 ribs and became an eating machine getting zero exercise.

Long hard HOT days and switching form Pepsi to Pepsi Max and unsweetened Ice Tea is working. The muscle aches and soreness is gone and I feel 40 again.

In April an 8 hour day did me in. I feel better after 12-14 hours now than I did after 8 hours in April. Pants, however are getting expensive.

Blood pressure in January was 240 over 120. At today's physical it was 122 over 68. Even though I am more active, I am filled eating less. Oh, and now a half a beer puts me to sleep.

The lawn care business is really good for you (me).

Steve

I'd love to do the opposite, gain a bit of weight. I'm only 125 lbs lol

I wouldn't mind putting a bit of meat on those bones

Stout,
Way to go. Keep it up. Feeling 40 again is great. Feeling good is great.
I know down here in sunny and real hot Florida, the summer months can be brutal. I make a power drink filled with vitamins and eat a lot of bananas along with Nature Valley granola bars. I am in the best shape during this time due to the fact that I am moving at a faster pace with more rigorous movements. I am real careful to watch my body temp. and sometimes we need to go chill out in the A/C for a while and enjoys some cool drinks. One time I was just about to overheat so I jumped in a client’s pool to lower my body temp and cool down.

Be careful.

John

Good for you Stout.
Come to think of it I don't know any fat lawn/landscape workers.
You definitely have to be in shape and have the stamina to work in the heat.
I can only imagine how tough it is working down south and south west.
Up here in the midwest today it was only 62 degrees.

Way to go Stout. Good Deal. For 2 years I had high bp and the doctors would tell me if I lost some pounds up top (stomach,Chest) my bp would get back right. Well Oct.28,2008 I had a heart atack due to high bp. after 8 nitro pills and 8 baby asprin in the amblance ride to the hospital, my bp was 205/200 My heart was about to burst. It did blow out one valve but while they had the camra up in my heart (1hr) we watched it mind itself back.
That was wild to watch my heart like that. The heart atack was the most pain I had ever had in my life and would never wish that on anybody.
I spent 4 days in ccu and 4 days in reg. room before they would let me go home. I have been losing pounds and feeling much better about myself too.
I take 1 heart pill and 1 pb pill now but soon I hope to be off both.
So keep up the good work and keep losing the pounds.

I started out on 40mg BP med then went to 20 mg afterwleight loss, then to 20mg after more weight loss, then 10 mg. My blood pressure at this point went down to 106 over 60. They then dropped my med to 5mg. today it was almost normal. Another 10# and I will be off meds.
