Default What a great 2014!

HA! Just kidding!

Haven't been on in a few weeks. Had a bit of a scare...

12/30 went to the ER with stomach pains, ended up having surgery for diverticulitus. I was released from the hospital this past Saturday and have been at home recovering.

Recovery has been good so far, I'll be getting my staples out of my chest next week. Hopefully that's the end of it! And thank the big man upstairs this happened during the off season!!!!

I have been reading a few of the newer threads, sounds like everyone has been doing well!

I know what you mean about feeling like a bum!

It was a bad infection in my c0L0n, where an air sack burst and got infected. They said its normal for men over 50, and it sometimes causes surgery. The only odd thing is I'm 29 and there was no other way than surgery. It can also affect your appendix too, which in my case it did. The surgery was to cut out part of my c0L0n and reroute it, then clean off my appendix and intestines. With all the staples in my stomach it looks like a tummy tuck gone bad!!

I figured while I sit here and do nothing, it gives me time to order marketing material and get ready for next year. How has so plowing been for you? This year has been slow for us with snow fall.

Your slow and work like a guy over 50. It was just confused. lol

That happen to my mom a few years except they removed her appendix too. Long term effects was she had control problems afterwards. Hopefully that doesnt happen to to you. Last thing you need is a dozen bathroom breaks everyday.

Hope your feeling better. If your feeling down we can rename you XtremeLawnBoy.

so far the plowing has been decent and i will not complain because this time of year there is not much revenue other then that so as far as i am concerned it is found money in a sense.

that surgery sounds like it sucks. my brother inlaw has crohns and 3 times had to be opened up and have intestines removed.

there seems to be a major rise in crohns, irritable bowl syndrome and what you have and it just goes to show that our food chain is poisoned.

i am sure you had your share of being fed garbage in the marines, my nephew is on his 4th term and he said a lot of the food he eats on deployment is chock full of roids and all kinds of other poison.
maybe that is what screwed you up ?

I told my wife I bet between the nasty MRE's and open air burn pits in Afghanistan and Iraq probably helped my cause along. Its a shame I may never find out, but hopefully the problem is done!

Glad to know your making some money plowing! Hopefully we'll get a few more storms...the weather guys predicted this year as a big snow fall year. But we all know how awesome the weathermen are!

The doctor said when I have to go to the bathroom, it'll come faster. Great. Now I'll be 29 and crapping my pants on the mower.

You know I was thinking of renaming myself. Weekendlawnboywarrior, or lawnboyman280. Maybe I'll hold off and try to invent attachments for my Ryobi or plot out a cleaning business

I am very sorry about your medical situation! I am glad that you got it taken care of.

Do you know of Brock Lesnar? He used to be very popular in the WWE and in MMA. He had that happen to him a few years back and he seemed to be at the peak of his physical conditioning when it happened. So who knows what causes it?
