Default Too early to ask, but it will help me sleep at night!

My snow removal is crap, well it's good but not BIG.

not BIG as in I use 1000 shovels & a couple of snow blowers & can't make decent money.

I would like to rent or make monthly payments on a tractor.

My questions for everyone are;

How did you get your first tractor?

Once bought, how long did it take you to profit after such a big purchase?

Tell me your story.

I used to maintenance & clean up a bunch of tractors;
Newholland & Mccormick etc, & I'm fascinated by them.

I emailed a guy who owns a small tractor & is selling it for peanuts, It's an old piece of crap but runs well he said. There was a problem but it was fixed.

I was wondering if I should bother to check it out, $4000.00 seems too good to be true? Oh and it doesn't come with the snow blower attachment.

It scares me to see so many tractor prices above $100,000.00, is this what I have to achieve?

How can I start, should I rent one? Is it even possible?

I own two ATV's, though I don't think it's legal to drive around the city with them doing snow removal.

I also don't know how to use a plow for snow removal, especially when the snow is high. I wouldn't be able to push it out of the driveway, & I'd only be able to leave it on the street ???

I need a blower.. hmmm

I got an email from another guy, who wants to sell a bobcat for $2999.00!!
It looks good, 2005 model.

The thing I need to know is, are Bobcats street legal. It'd be pointless if I'd have to stash it in the trailer. Is it possible to put signals and mirrors to make it legal blah blah????

I want this Bobcat..

Even though its probably going to be as big as my regular snow blower, it's just kick arse!

You can use a plow with both push and drag, When it snows down here (yeah it does snow) I see more people drive in and drag out the snow with the plow, once it's out in the street you just plow it onto the yard, but not near the mail box

IMHO if he is selling that for 2999. there is something wrong with is, check for liens etc. a 2005 is worth about 9000.+++

Yes they are street legal, I personally do not like them, desperate dangerous to drive.

As for tractors, what are you looking at that is 100,000??? an eight wheel 200 HO John Deere doesn't even cost that much.

I concur. Or its a scam. I saw an add on craigslist some time ago for a a nice kubota for like $5000. I knew this was either a scam or a steal. It was a scam. He would never tell me where the tractor was located. Like said, this deal could very well be a scam.

Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.......

I'm looking for a tractor which a blower can attach too.

I need a good price & it's really hard to find one. Dealers or sites obviously don't state their prices on websites, & I'm not interested to call because in all honesty I have no idea what to get. There are so many models & whatever.

I was on a silly site where it had prices up to 100,000$, but I hear there as cheap as $25,000 new

I think I saw that one too, it looks great but it doesn't have a closed cab?

Don't recall about the cab but it definitely was a scam. When I asked him some questions and told him I was a law enforcement officer, he never answered my emails anymore.. Wonder why? Do you think he was skiddish?
