Help Please

After viewing Chuck's (musician/lawman) slide show I decided to try it myself. Looking over my resources, I found Windows Movie Maker. When I tried to open it, I got a message saying my video card did not have the required acceleration properties. I have an ATI Radeon 9000 with 512 K DDS. but the driver installed is Standard VGA. I went to the ATI site and downloaded the proper ATI Driver and then deleated the VGA driver. When I restarted my computer it put the VGA driver back in bypassing the ATI driver.

Any suggestions?

Yes, sort of. The power supply is burnt out. Something I have been going to fix but have been spending any extra moneys on the business. One computer was enough for now.

Can you try and swap video cards? Would that help at all if you want to experiment with it?

If you want, I could put something together you could use. Do you have a few pictures? If so, post them. I can make something generic thats like 30 secs long. Welcoming the viewer to the lawn care and landscaping website. That would give you something to play with.

I appreciate that, but I think I would like to try it myself. I'm trying to learn these things and the best way I know it to learn by doing.

An afterthought - I am running Vista 64 Pro. Maybe that is my problem.

I have to go to Columbia in the nest few days. Maybe I'll pick up a new power supply.

Hey you might check with 3btech.net for your power supply. I have bought several items from them and have been rather happy with the products and definitely with their service. They ship quickly and if you order online they ship the item for free, no matter how many or how few items, or how heavy or how light the items.....

I had the picture (from my PC's camera) for a long time but couldn't figure how to post it! It wasn't in gig o jpeg format and I couldn't figure how to convert it. It did go on my site though, so this morning I clicked on it on my site and "saved picture as". Was given the option to save as jpeg and it worked! Microsoft Picture Editor let me reduce it to 100 x 72 so it would upload.

Still learning how to use the computer.
