What's the deal with forum member status?

I was just wondering why it is that next to some members avatars or photos it shows just their name, others says "member", "Junior Member" or "senior member" ? How are these effected or decided? Just curious.

I was just wondering why it is that next to some members avatars or photos it shows just their name, others says "member", "Junior Member" or "senior member" ? How are these effected or decided? Just curious. Well, I think all the forum members that were imported from the old forum became members. Now new members that join become junior members and after a certain amount of post become senior members. Why? LOL I have no idea. It seems to have been preset this way and I have fiddled with it too much because I am just so happy its currently working HAHHAHAH
