Lawn care business tips

Welcome to our forum! What got you to start your lawn care business and why did you decide to include irrigation? Did you ever work in that field before or did you just start it all on your own?

Hi Steve. I worked in the well and pump business for many years and got to know some irrigation contractors. I always took pride in my own lawn looking good so irrigation and lawn care were a great fit for me. ps. this site is great!

What was your view of that industry? How does it compare / contrast to the lawn care, irrigation business?

It was ok. Working with 220 volt power and water always keeps you on your toes. It's much better being my own boss in the lawn care business though.Working in the pump biz was a plus for irrigation by allready knowing how the hydrolics of an irrigation system work.

Yes i would advise them to go for it. Even if they have to start part time and keep there regular job to start. ive been in biz for just over a year and i love the lawn care biz. i also would advise Anyone wishing to start a lawn care business to use all the tools that gopherforum.com has to offer.I have only been on here a short time and have allready found things on here to better my business.
