Buyers group

I was considering putting together some sort of buyers group with members from the forum. Maybe I could get something together where members could enter what equipment they are looking to buy or if I can find some good deals on larger purchases and then potentially get everyone on the forum a better price if we can get a bunch of orders together.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Why not expand it to include business insurance, and possibly group health insurance? I'm in South Carolina but my business liability insurance is from a PA based company. Maybe group buying power could help with these and other products or services.

My business insurance quotes ranged from over $2,000 per year to $695 per year. If I were shopping for say 20 policies, I probably could have gotten better rates! We could at the least, reduced commission costs. At best, reduced premium and commission costs.

Personally I would stick to local suppliers, they use me very good and that is critical for when things break even if I have to pay a few more bucks up front, which is a tax write off anyhow.

I think that is a great idea. There may be limited items that can work well for this but here is one idea.

I just became a dealer for a product called "mo-deck". It is a polymer spray on that comes in an aerosol can. Does anyone have any experience with it? It appears that if I can get several cases I can get a great deal on it.

I think that if I could order several cases and someone took say a case of 12 cans I could probably ship it to them for a total of $6.50 per can (They sell for as much as $19.95 some places). I would have to check to see how much shipping is before I would positively commit to that. They also make "sno-jet", which is used on snow blowers to keep the snow from sticking, and "mud-slide" which is sprayed on the under side of atvs to make the mud slide off.... They are all the same price per can.

Perhaps we could check with a "small business owners" organization. Several months ago I was approached by our local chapter and was told they provide good rates. But then of course everyone says they have good rates..... At the time I was not in need of any insurance policies and thus did not investigate this.

This is a great idea too! This is something you could even post and review the interest of it. You could potentially offer different prices at different steps. So if 5 people bought it you could get it for $X or if 10 people bought it you could get it for $Y

There are many plans and lots of questions! Maybe he could set up a questioner you could post and have returned to you that you could submit in group to him for some sort of a group plan. I am a great organizer and would be glad to help.
