this bid is for a managment compamy that has apartment communitys all over the us the general manager contacted me and ask me to place a bid for all the local properties that she had bad luck with the former company which when i looked at the properties i see what she is talking about they were tain care of very poorly so im including picture from google earth i hope it helps
i would be doing the mowing trimming blowing edgeing (if needed) leaf removal and keeping the debrie cleaned up(trash trim limbs etc.)
these arent all of them either they have 21 communities as of right now and they have 9 more being built this summer i have included the following attachments hopeing that would help me get and idea on how to bid these these guys are huge i am haveing lunch with the ceo's on monday i dont have to have numbers by then but they wanna talk to me about more details and snow plowing also so this here could be full time just these guys but i refuse to stop therethanks for helping guys

never the less that is a HUGE company. Nice find. I would advise you to READ READ READ everything you can before your meeting so that you can impress the CEO's of the co. with your knowledge of what they do.

I wonder if they have any one power washing for them???

Dude i would almost pay you to ask them about cleaning the buildings and roofs lol

I would love to get in on their properties in KY, OH, and IN

You need alot more info.Even ac. would only give you a very rough idea.A rough idea on a larger property can be 1000 a month dif.Thats a deal killer

One more thing, can you handle that.Lets say all 20 take 3 guys 1 day a piece.Thats 4 trucks,4 trailers,8 mowers,4 line trimmers,4edgers,4 blowers,4 sprayers,4 shears, and we could this all day.Now lets talk about the liabilty and workers comp on 12 guys. Now these could be very small props I dont know.Maybe you have all the things mentioned. My point is to make sure you dont make your self look bad by growing to fast.
Good luck.

Exclamation Estimating a large lawn care contract.

Hi ProCutIndiana:

I see that you have only recently joined this forum.

Without knowing your history and experience in the lawn care industry, I'm not sure if you are expecting someone to just crunch the numbers for you and give you a price. Noone here will/can do that for you.

Share with us your number crunching on this project. How many acres is the project exactly? How many linear feet of trimming and blowing are you responsible for? What problem areas have you surveyed on the property? What is the contract term? What are the payment terms? What is the fine print?

After we know the above, tell us your experience level. What equipment do you already have? What is your ammoritized capital outlay for new equipment over the term of the contract? What are your repayment terms for you "financial backer?"

After you provide us with everything you can, this board will provide you with lots of help on this project.

I hope I don't sound like I'm getting down on you but I have seen the enticement of a big job like this bury even the most experienced LCO.

Keep your head about you and only bid this job if the final numbers make absolute sense.
