Have you ever considered offering a real estate property evaluation and inspection service to customers looking to purchase a new property? You could have local real estate agents sell this service to their clients and they could get a % of the sale price. The fee could be added to their closing costs.
Then you could show up to the property when called to review and point out any potential problems with the property. Drainage issues etc. What you would do to repair them. Or problems with the vegetation on the property such as the trees or what you suggest the current home owner do before they sell the home. Are there any branches hanging over the house that should be removed? Are the gutter drains not draining away from the home?
Then you could offer these suggestions to the current home owner in the form of an estimate.
You could market this service to all the real estate agents in the area. Stop by and visit their offices. Tell them about the service you offer and how it would benefit them and their customer. This could also open further doors for interacting with the real estate agent in the future.
Can you think of more ideas or problems you could look for and potentially sell?
Maybe you could even do a security review of the property including night lighting issues and over grown shrubs near windows and doorways.
