Thanks for the compliment. I love wordpress and php and I don't think I would use anything else.

And using wordpress you can really hone your SEO to a pinpoint.

I tried loading your site from your signature...but nothing came up.

How do you feel using word press helps lawn care business owners when they create a website? What are your thoughts on this?

Well now it doesn't directly affect lawn care owners. I just believe that wordpress is a fantastic product and is very powerful. You don't need to know how to write ASP or PHP scripts to run webapps. You can just download widgets for the site.

I do however heavily modify any wordpress theme I work on. I also modify widgets and create all graphic work from scratch usually. Wordpress for me is a dream tool. I do believe that you still need to be proficient at php and know a bit about mysql for the DB end of things.

It also allows you to get an upper hand on SEO as you can properly configure each page and post to get the best rank in the major search engines.

And the best part of it for me is when the site is all setup for the client. They can add content by ways of posts and pages. They can even upload pictures and galleries with ease. I hate leaving people trapped that they feel that they have to use my services every time they need a simple update. This gives them the freedom to do little things themselves.

Thanks for the compliment on the site. And I don't expect everyone to love my work...so your opinion is welcome...helps me build better products for clients when I get a good feel on what people are wanting. And IMO CSS is a necessity when it comes to good website design. Just using basic HTML to code your site doesn't allow for good cross browser formatting...not to mention the ease of global changes.

RSS is not a 'necessity' to lawn care sites however giving people or potential clients information when it is posted can be of great importance...if not now, when? I am a professional blogger and RSS is a huge part of my site. And I will continue to implement it whenever and wherever I can.

If you would like a price for website design / modification you can email me at office@thelawnblog.com or send me a PM on the gopher forums. Every site is different when it comes to price as my clients are different and their needs are different. Also, when my clients are members of this forum I choose not to throw around prices on what they have spent. If they choose to discuss that with you then by all means...I hope you understand.
