Default retaining wall

Mike,

Very nice job on the wall. What advice could you give for somebody like myself, who does not have a masonry background, that wants to get into building retaining walls and such for their existing landscape business.

The Pics of the wall that I put up Is all dry stacked (no morter/cement)
Start with a good footing and Keep it Level

Very nice.

I love the fall colors too.

Mike, if a new lawn care business owner wanted to start offering retaining walls, what size job would you recommend they start with? Would they find more potential problems the higher the wall is?

Also, what kind of guarantee should they offer on their work?

If a wall has more the 3 ft of back fill on it , It needs a enginer come out and draw up plans such a architect would on a house. Going with permites and building plane if it's over 3ft.

I have done walls in the past thats been 15 to 20 ft tall and over 200 ft long in the past !!!

Default Mowing Pics..

Mike,
I like the mowing pics. It looks like a larger account. What is it? Is it commercial or residential? How do you bid your mowing?

That one is a Residential! Most of my bids are a set price for yards.
Min cut is $35 even if it only takes me 15 min. I have a few that runs $125 ,but on avg most of my yards are $50. I have 3 accounts that I charge by the HR.
