Default Rock Salt Aletrnative - Liquid De-icer & Sprayers

SAVE up to 60% over SALT

NEW LIQUID DEICING UNITS

ICE CONTROL:

Everybody knows that CALCIUM CHLORIDE works better than regular rock salt when it comes to de-icing your parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks. But most people don't buy it because of the huge price difference.

What you may not realize is that the expensive "CALCIUM CHLORIDE FLAKE" is actually made from the "LIQUID CALCIUM CHLORIDE". Flake is made through a very costly evaporation process that transforms the liquid into a solid.

We can easily show you how to distribute the liquid in the winter and save a ton of money using "LIQUID CALCIUM CHLORIDE" instead of rock salt.

Unlike rock salt...

Chloride prices do not change with the demand of the product. Always Available - No Shortages

It works at much lower temperatures than rock salt.

It is cleaner! (No more salt spots on the rugs and carpet)

It is much more cost effective. Just 275 gallons of "LIQUID CALCIUM CHLORIDE" will treat roughly the same area of 5 to 9 tons of rock salt.

Road commissions have been using ""LIQUID CALCIUM CHLORIDE" for over a decade and it's popularity is growing.

New de-icing units. 270 gallon skid mounted. This sprayer can be used with all liquid de-icers.

Includes: 270 gallon tank, 12v electric pump, trailer hitch receiver mounted spray bar w/6 jets, side mounted hose assembly for sidewalks and steps. Everything you need in a one unit.

Benefits of using this unit for de-icing are...

Our product can spray CALCIUM and MAGNESIUM CHLORIDE, BEET JUICE, SALT BRINE, MORE

They effectively melts ice to 25 degrees below zero.

The liquid chloride never changes it's consistency, even when stored for long periods of time, no matter if the temperature is 100 degrees or 30 below zero.

The liquid does not have to be applied to every square inch of the area you are de-icing. Remember, the liquid will travel via tires into the parking spots. Unlike rock salt, a little bit of material goes a long way.

For under $300.00, you can de-ice the same area as 5 to 9 tons of bulk rock salt.

Cities and counties have been using this proven product for over 30 years. They don't use it specifically, because they usually don't have a problem getting salt, and when they do buy salt, they don't pay the price that private contractors do.

One more huge benefit is demonstrated in this example...Say you get 3 or 4 inches of snow. You plow then de-ice a parking lot, then hours later, a second wave of snow comes, dumping another 3-4 inches of snow that must be plowed. After you re-plow the lot, you will not necessarily have to re-apply the liquid de-icing agent. Remember, the liquid is at ground level, your plows can't touch it. If you use rock salt instead of liquid de-icer, half of the rock salt you applied earlier will be scraped up into the snow piles in the corner of the lot.

Lawn care business tipsLawn Care Business Book
Very fascinating stuff!

Do you think you can actually save time applying this instead of the rock salt? Also it appears to do less damage to your truck than salt or am I wrong on that.

When you apply this, can you use it as a selling point to stand out from other snow plowers in your area or what would suggest on your marketing when it comes to this?

Steve,

You save time in the sense that this can be pre-applied up to 24 hours before a storm. When the storm comes, you can dedicate yourself to removing the snow only and not trying to do both in a small time frame. Because it does not get plowed away, it will melt off the film that is missed by the plow. It is clean, with no material getting in or on your truck. As far as a selling point, I use the following:

Product is available with no shortages.

It works better than salt (-25 degrees)

It is less harmful to grass and plants.

No tracking of salt residue into buildings ect.

Cost to the customer is up to 50% less than salt. (contractor will still make the same profit of salt)

Just to name a few.

Hey, this may be a good topic for a Gopher Haul show...rofl

What do you do about shipping? Is this something you can ship or should be purchased locally?

Steve,
I ship the spray units, but the material is available most anywhere. You just need to know where to look to get it. Here are some places that carry it.

Asphalt Plants
Concrete Plants
Dust Control Services (dirt road dust control spraying)
Fuel Oil Companies

Hope this helps.

It does. The more information the reader can find the better.

What other ways have you been marketing this product? Have you tried craigslist? Or have you sent out mailers? I bet you could get a lot of business owners that way as well.

I have it on Craigslist, eBay, and several other industry sites. I have also had brochures, postcards, and lawn signs made to promote it.

Should we do something where you could offer some kind of sale or discount on a product that I could try and help promote here?

I could offer $100 off to forum members on a spray unit. That would make them $1195.00 plus tax and shipping if needed.

That is an awesome deal. I just changed your forum signature to help you promote it. Try making another post to see how it looks. You can change it to whatever you want.

You also can look through other posts and help the poster with your answers to further promote your product on the forum.
