Congrats on getting a new trailer. I also have a 6' x 12' that I built from a camp trailer frame (but you would never know). 6x12 is a great size, not too big, not too small.
Maybe getting a new trailer. I checked with my dealer if I can get approved for credit and I got approved through GE Money so yeah
This trailer was custome built by a company that makes trailers. J.D.J Trailers is the name, some might know them
I got myself a 6' wide x 12' long with a 4' ramp on the right hand side.
6x12 4 ramp? You had to get credit for that? Also You should of gotten enclosed 16ft or open trailer that was 16ft. You will find out soon that the 12ft is going to be to small.......
I just bought a 24ft enclosed for $3000.00 cash. I will attached photos. I turned it into a race trailer with 4000,00 watt diesel generator attached on the front. Should of looked on craiglist not bought a new one..

Not to confuse anybody but the trailer is what I need for now. I do not have a big truck
My back tailgate is 5 ft and I got a 4 ft ramp built on the right hand side of the trailer.
I will get a picture for you guys soon

What do you like or dislike about the one you got? Any suggestions on what to look for in a trailer that size?
Justin, looking forwards to seeing your pics too.

Yeah well hopefully all my clients will send me their cheques next week. I sent my last bills for the year since I'm officially done grass cutting tomorrow so yeah.
I was looking at the money owed and I can surely pay for that trailer no problem. But I will keep that 5000$ credit at my dealer. Will probably get a snowblower with that.
I will get trailer pics tomorrow.
I can't wait to have that trailer... I had custom ordered it with a side ramp on the right hand side...

I went round and round about getting or building the right size trailer, and after I used my old trailer for about 2 years, I decided on a 6x12. Also, if you do any tree trimming or brush hauling, an enclosed trailer would be useless. I pile my trailer 10 ft high at times, and couldnt do it with an enclosed. But the added security of an enclosed is a big plus.
Its important to figure out what you will be using the trailer for the majority of your work, before you decide on a size. Getting a big trailer just for the sake of having a big trailer can be an added expense for things such as registration, tires, brakes, and GAS.
Who was it not too long ago on the forum told his story of wanting a dump trailer badly and spending a bunch of money to finally buy one, only to regret it shortly after and selling it for a $5000 loss.
If you use this trailer for a year or two, then decide that you still want something bigger, then you can get it then without feeling like you lost a bunch of money.
How about this for an idea. A trailer that you can lift the top off with a jack and drive away with a flatbed! I wonder if that would be a big seller or not.
