How To Select A Tree Contractor

I think this could make for a great flyer or door hanger potentially if you were interested in marketing your tree removal services. Does anyone else have anything further to add to it? HOW TO SELECT A TREE CONTRACTOR • Insist on a site visit and clear tree markings of any removals. • Get a written quote itemizing services to be provided. • Verify workers compensation as well as personal and property damage insurance. • Ask for and check references or visit other work sites where company has done tree work. • Get more than one estimate unless you know and are comfortable with the vendor. • Be wary of the individuals who go door-to-door and offer bargains for tree work. QUESTIONS TO ASK CONTRACTORS • Is all tree limb, tree trunk, and debris cleanup included? • Is stump grinding included to a minimum of 6” below ground surface? • How long will the job take from start to finish and when can you start? • When will payment be required and what payment options do you offer? INFORMATION A CONTRACTOR WILL NEED FROM YOU • What your timeline is for completion. • Do you plan on keeping the wood or do you want them to dispose of it. • Number and approximate size of trees (diameter 4.5’ above ground) to be removed.
