new business in LA

HI everyone! I'm Biz and I just wanted to introduce myself. I just started my company Bizzy Bee's Landscape Maintenance based in Los Angeles. I only have a few clients so far, but things look bright for me. on my off time (if you want to call it off time) I'm a musician. I play bass for a couple of rock bands.

Hi! Oh how fantastic! What got you interested in starting your own lawn care business and playing bass? What are some of your larger goals with each? By the way, I love the business name. You could really come up with some great marketing material and logo with that name.

I've heard a similar business name up here like that

I think it's called Busy Bee maintenance or something like that.

I'm new at this whole forum thing so I hope I'm replying the right way. I have been gardening professionally for about 8 years and have reached the top of the pay scale as an employee. I also have grown tired of not having creative control and watching my bosses make terrible mistakes. I decided the only thing to do was go out on my own. My goal is to be like WhisperCut and use no/low emissions equipment. I already use only organic fertilizers and pest/disease controls in all my gardens. I'm having a dilemma right now though. All last year I worked under a landscape designer doing specialty maintenance. I decided to start a mow blow service to compliment her specialty service. Four of her clients have now made a complete switch to me and fired her. That is not what I had in mind. I don't know how to handle it as I'm still relying on her for the hours she gives me until my schedule fills up. I don't have the capital to run an effective advertising campaign, nor do I have the low emissions equip. to advertise about! I'm flattered that her clients want to do business with me exclusively, but morally I can't keep taking her business. It' just not cool. Any advice?

I had to manipulate the name a lot to avoid infringement. I have a right to use it though because my last name is Bizzy!!
