Use the river rock at a friends house that would like to take them off my hands. He lives just two blocks from me. Easy disposal there.
The pavers, the owner of the house would like to keep and reuse elsewhere. (Maybe another job down the road for me?)

How many hours do you think it would take for each part of this job and do you need to rent any additional equipment?

Kinda light and heavy labor oriented so ill take a shot here since I gotta give a quote out by this evening. I have truck to haul in, bigger shovels to shovel the rock with. And the help of my brother and cousin to do the bigger portion.

The radius paver removal and stacking will take 1-1 1/4 hours. $30
A 16 sq ft x 4" deep rock removal at the 2nd spot will probably take 1-1 1/2 hours. $35
The biggest area of 100 sq ft x 4" deep rock removal I could see taking 3-4 hours. Then the hauling away of all that rock collected.... $120
Take the soil to the site in my truck, fill in the 3 spots and rake it level.(2 hours) $60
Looking like about 2 cu yds of soil which is about $110?(Having a hard time finding a deal.)

I can see quoting $350 even to do this for the guy...any thoughts?

I quote stuff like that on a straight hourly labour rate, then any materials are marked up 20-30% depending on how expensive they are/how much work it takes for me to get them.

After finding top soil at $7 per ton right before going to give the bid, I went with a quote of $300 and he accepted. Will take care of him this week weather pending...then I am able to go quote some work for the neighbor...I have not seen that task yet, but I will be sure to post and discuss!
