Lawn care business tips
Hey guys, I forgot to direct you to the exact product I wanted feedback on. When you select the site, scroll down to trimmers. Thanks, Todd

Hi Todd,

Do you mean this one?

http://www.lawnvac.com/products/ztrimmer.html

That certainly looks sweet!

Whats your view on it? Are you thinking it should cut down on your mowing time?

What do you like about it so far or dislike about it?

new design on an old idea.....
I doubt it works very effectively. I'd like to see a video & even more to hear froam a real lco who uses it (not one of their drummed up testimonials.... Someone who actually does this for a living). Seems to me it's gonna miss a spot bettween the deck & the trimmer, theres no way your using at as an edger & keeping it dead straight, & how does the line release? Can't bump it right? plus the mowers tend to lean a bit as you turn cutting a bit lower on one side, that lean is going to be amplified as that thing is about 8 inches off the deck. Can you you say...."SCALP"?

Has anyone ever seen another lawn care business owner in their area using such a device?

When I called the salesman he said as far as the line goes, he uses .105 string which is real durable. Thats what I use on my trimmers and it still erodes away so I don't feel the string is any different than your trimmer. As far as replacing it, he said he just buys a spool of string and cuts it in 18" lengths. When the trimmer needs new line, he stops and replaces it by pinching a "u" in the line and it just snaps in. (?) It is also adjustible whith a handle the operator can run from the seat. The gap between the trimmer and the deck is a concern. The salesman said he trimmers first and goes back over to mow. I'm not sure. More fuel, stopping and replacing line, etc. To me it looks good. But as one of the other posts stated, I would like to see video of it also.

You should see if he can send you one for free then, you could make a video of it in operation and give us your feedback on it. We could promote it on our site and in a future GopherHaul video. That would be a blast.
