Doody Calls has made $2million a year in revenue!

It's a dirty job, but you can get rich - Jacob and Susan D'Aniello, both 30 and graduates of the University of Virginia, are finding this "King of the Hill" advice is right on. In 2000, they started DoodyCalls, which polices yards for dog poop for about $15 a month. Susan D'Aniello thought nursing was her mission. But when the calls poured into her new husband's business, "I felt like I was missing out on so much."

She grew up in Great Falls, Va., where the median household income exceeds $170,000. It took two years before her mother told anyone that her daughter had dropped a nursing career for doody.

DoodyCalls started franchising in 2004. It has expanded to 26 franchisees and will take in more than $2 million in revenue this year. Jacob D'Aniello plans for 275 franchises by 2011.

Forty percent of households have dogs. "They're all pooping. Nobody wants to pick it up. We're going to blow this out of the water," says D'Aniello.

I haven't seen anybody... did some research, but turned up NOTHING.... maybe there's an open door! Was talking to my partner tonight about it, and though he doesn't fancy picking up dog mess, he's all for it to make money! lol

I'm going to try and offer this as well. Very interesting. I lived in Great Falls for years, never noticed a Dooty Calls truck. I'm sure I would notice a big turd driving down the street. You could have some fun marketing with that. And to franchise poop cleanup. Wow. What a salesperson!
