Here is a sample of a magnet sign. 1st picture is the sign scaled down. 2nd picture is a section of the sign so you can see the detail. Magnet signs are curently on sale (soon to be ending).

OH very nice! What size were they printed out at? Would you ever get any pictures from the customer to show us how they look on his truck? Do you know what color truck this would be for?

They were designed to be 12x24 but could be 24x48 without losing any detail. I would have to re-design it to make it bigger keeping the detail.
This could easily be made to go on the side of a 16' enclosed trailer.

They were not printed, they are a sample...the print would look just about the same.

We can make it for any truck color.

When you are making signs, in specifically this one, would the background color of the sign dictate which color truck it would best work on?

Like for instance would this sign work best with a white truck?

Yes and no...most likely not the answer you were looking for though.

White is just about always the best to do anything on...so yes this would work best on a white truck but...

The sign could be contour cut so that all you have is everything that is NOT white in the above picture, or so just a small bit of white was all around the outside of the print.

That does make sense. I guess what I am wondering is, when a client comes to you and needs a sign made, especially now since you can print full color, do you take into consideration the color of the truck when making the sign graphics?

If a truck is black, do you prefer a black background in your designs? Or if a truck is white, a white background?

Or is that not even something that needs to be considered?

I will make a graphic that will hopefully explain this a lot better.

But yes, we take into account the color of the truck or whatever its going on.

We could make it so there is no white in the final print, all the white area would be in the trash can. so on a black truck the thing to think about would be that the dark colors wont "pop" off the truck, so to make it "pop" you add a white boarder around the whole thing which makes it stand out on black.

In this picture you see what it would look like on black.


In this picture this is with a white boarder.


In this picture i am showing where our equipment will cut around the design, if i wanted it to we could cut areas inside the design as well (like between the leaves, etc.).
The red line is where it would cut, its size is very exaggerated though so you can see it easy (its would only be a hairline thickness).
