Which riding mower should I start out with? I have a $1,500 budget for the mower. Suggestions greatly appreciated.

As my first mower I got a reconditioned TORO with a bagger. I still use it when customers want their grassed bagged up. It has paid for it's self twice in less than two months.

My first mower was/is a Craftsman 22" self propelled. I outgrew it after week 1 but still have not replaced it.

First mower was a 21" MTD...absolute garbage. Still have it as a backup, but just replaced it with a 22" Toro Recycler self-propelled.

My first mower was a 21" snapper. inherited it from my grandpa. Think its from the 90s. Still use it for bagging.
