Beginner Mistakes from our friend Jim of promower.net

Here are some things beginners often get wrong:

Inefficiency: Slow machines and clumsy, inefficient operations kill your chances at serious money. When using hired help, inefficient operations can actually put you in the red. The more efficient you are, the more money you make. Learn all you can about efficiency.

**-

Have you thought of inefficiencies in your business? What have you done to overcome them?

Isn't it amazing how many business owners fall into that trap of going big just for the sake of being big and not watching their level of profitability?

My book contains three chapters that are largely about efficiency. The topic goes way beyond big mowers and hard-working crews ** it embraces every aspect of the business.

Lately, I've been excerpting materials from my book and will have them up on my site in a couple of days. Some of them are about efficiency, including the story of a local contractor who actually gave away a $6000 a week mowing business because he wasn't making any money. I'll post here when I get the excerpts up. Should make good topics for conversation.

Jim
