I've been invited to 2 networking groups by realtors, and mortgage brokers. I've heard this is a great thing to do, and I'm very anxious to get started going to these. The one I was asked to attend, is charging a 100 dollar fee to join the group. Is this normal? I am assuming this is to make sure I'm serious about networking with others and won't just show up to the meetings and things when I want, but will attend very often. What are some of the things these other people will ask me? Are they going to be business related topics or is it more like "coffee talk" hey how's it goin, here's my card type deal. I don't know if I feel comfortable referring others without knowing what kind of work they do? I don't want my name drug in the dirt by someone i've referred messing up! Am I pretty safe referring people from this group if its a invite only? Or am I just crazy?

Hi bcflawnlandscape,

Does this networking group have a name? Is it like Le Tip? Or something similar?
