Well, we receive our first actual snow of about an inch last night. We received about a 1/2 inch back in October, but nothing serious. I was up at 4am this morning doing two commercial accounts.

I actually dread the snow removal season. I lose sleep doing the winter months. I am usually very bored as well

Do you ever have thoughts on what you would rather be doing?

I think that I would rather do a couple of things:

1. *Just do salting, not snow removal for commercial accounts
2. *Maybe do holiday lights
3. *Just take the winter off

I lose so much sleep during the snow removal season. I can not make any plans at all. I have a wedding on the 29th and 30th down state, and I am dreading that because what happens if it snows while I am gone. Not only will I lose money, but perhaps lose customers that will be mad that I wasn't here.

yep, I missed the last 2 Thanksgivings with my family from plowing...half the winter I am waking up every hour to look outside, watching every forcast I can, and they are still all wrong. I would rather get a part time job with set hours than plow. No plans for 5 months is hard on my family too.

Yes, the worst is losing the sleep. During the winter months I want to do nothing but sit at home and watch tv because I have such horrible seasonsal depression
