What got you to start your lawn care business?

i was having problems at my full time job back then. i know someone that did it for a living and he told me what i could do to start my own business and that is what i did. i started off with a 22'' push mower, weed eater and blower. in 2005 i had a bad year when my zero turn engine locked up after one year of service. now in 2009 after not cutting grass for a couple of years i'm finally trying to get going again.

What did you do about that? How did it get resolved?

The newsletter is written by one of the Board of Directors, so I don't have any impact on how often the letters are published. We did get one client (every other week lawn service) and another to begin in spring. 2 mowings and the ad has paid for itself! Am attaching a copy of the newsletter.

That is fantastic! Do you feel you will keep the ad in the newsletter longer now? What about advertising in other HOA newsletters?

Hello my name is Erik I currently run ET Plowing and I am working on putting together a fleet if you can call it that. I am a mechanic by trade and choice I used to do mainly street/strip cars then I moved to the NE where you gota have a 4x4

then once you have a 4x4 you either need a plow or own one or two. I have just under 3yrs of plowing under my belt and I'm hoping for a good snow this year.

Welcome to our forum! What kinds of things are you doing to promote your snow plow services?

Also, do you promote your mechanic services to snow plow companies? Maybe you could help repair their trucks and plows during the season when the break down?
