Hello from the heartland! I am a turf and tree pro from the far northern suburbs of Chicago, IL. Great site here, I found it by accident through a Google search while doing some research for our soon to be new website! Killer stuff, and I am excited to try the gopher pro software! Hi Glenn, Welcome aboard! Your company has been in business for 47 years! WOW that is amazing! How does it feel running a company that has been around so long? Was it difficult at all taking over the company's operations? Being in business for such a long time, what advice would you offer a new lawn care company just starting up?

When you say doing everything by hand, is that mostly just office procedures or are you talking about your service operational procedures?

Taking over is easy- changing things is problematic!
The old man, like many small operators keeps everything
in his head, like it's all a big secret Getting info from him
is the hardest part, but ve haf our vays...

By hand I mean admin stuff. We are fairly advanced in our
use of tools, lol. Decent pumps, spray equip. etc.

Anyone have any good cheap advertising techniques that
I don't know about? We are pretty much just doing direct
mail to existing lists and new move-ins right now...
