Is there a problem with too many people parking their cars on their lawns to require such an ordinance in your area?

Lawn Parking Prohibited In Springdale - Cars will no longer be lawn ornaments in Springdale once a new ordinance goes into effect.

The City Council, in its meeting Tuesday, unanimously approved an ordinance banning the parking of vehicles on lawns in some residential neighborhoods. The ordinance, approved without an emergency clause, will go into effect in 30 days.

i live in springdale, and am very happy about the ordinace. one of my customers is a new city councilman, and I helped campaign for him because of issues like this.

by the way, are you located in arkansas? or is this just coincidence?

How would you describe the experience of volunteering your time to a campaign?

What kinds of things did you do to help?

What did you learn from the experience?

well, i didn't do a whole lot, actually. i just made some phone calls, told my friends, spread the word.

i guess the main thing that i learned was that a few determined folks can really change things. In the general election the other guy got had a much higer percentage of the votes, but there was a runoff. And, my guy won the runoff, because he wanted it more.

Did you find parallels between the political campaign process and promoting a business?
