What software for sizing pics?

What is a program I can use to resize pics to put on my site? I downloaded the trial version of Corel and used it to resize a couple pics. But I am not going to pay the big price tag for it. Is there a program for around $50 that is easy to use and can resize pics? Thanks!

I use Adobe Fireworks for all of my images and graphics...but without breaking the bank here are some alternatives.

Free Online Tool to resize your images...easy to use.

GIMP - is a free program you can use...probably the most popular free open source image/graphic software for windows.

Serif Software another free program you can use

I use Photosize.com , its by far the easiest to use and make the picture not look all distorted when resizing.

I downloaded GIMP. It is exactly what I was looking for. Simple and cheap...heck, FREE! Photosize.com would be even easier. BUt I will use Gimp, that way I can add text if needed. Thanks guys!
