STIHL KombiMotors?

Hey!, I'im going to buy a new trimmer and possibly an edger for the upcoming year. I thought I would get everyone's opinion on handhelds! I'm pretty defiante that I'm getting STIHL, unless a deal comes along with echo, redmax, etc. I've been looking at the STIHL Kombimotors. I'll add a pic. I think i would either get the KM 90 R STIHL KombiMotor or the KM 110 R STIHL KombiMotor. Are they worth it? Does anyone have these so i could get some comments, concerns, etc.? If I got the motor, then I would also buy the trimmer head and straigh shaft edger. The price is a bit higher but not much. What do you guys think? Should i get the Kombi or just a seperate everything? Thanks! Luke

Hi Luke,

We or I use only STIHL for hand equipment you can't go wrong with it.

I can't say much about the kombimotors we don't have any of these type units.

FS - FC is all we use. Very pleased with them.

A friend of mine swears by Stihl... he's never had problem one. He has a Straight shaft weed eater and a kombi-edger/pole hedge trimmer. He, of course, only has to use the hedge trimmer on occasion, so he typically keeps the edger attachment on the kombi motor. That's what my partner and I are thinking about doing... Makes sense to me, anyway.

I have the Kombi System 90R and I love it.... works good.. lots of power.. and runs for hours without refilling... compared to the regular ones... somestimes I go to a job.. finish.. and then go to another job.. open the tank.. and I don't even have to fill up since there's like barely no gas that was used.

I can actually see the difference in gas i use (mix gas of course). Just the way the 4 mix is built... it uses less gas
