I have a customer that has a terraced yard in two levels; seperated with landscaping bricks . I don't know the right term for them. Anyways they are all dark from beig there for a long time. He wants them cleaned and brightened up. The previous lco before he hired me pressure washed them, but without any solution and it cleaned them up a little.

My question is - is there any type of cleaner or solution that will brighten them back up and make them almost new again that is safe to use in the grass. They are in the grass and I don't want to kill the grass obviously. Maybe without even having to pressure wash again?

First, I think you'll have to pressure wash something like that at least once a year to keep it looking good... maybe even more...

As far as the soaps, there are all kinds of soaps that are good to do a GOOD cleaning and not harm the vegetation around the blocks... Call around and see what you can find... Google it and see what you come up with... there's more than likely somewhere close to you that carries the detergent that you need...

I would say this... if they're going to be a regular customer (or already are), then just keep an eye on it after you clean it the first time... when you notice that it needs to be done again, offer them a package deal... you'll do it X times a year and add it to theit mowing package... something like that...

Your right, but some times you go buy things and they don't work as well as they say. I just was wondering if you can reccomend a certain product or ingredient that needs to be in the solution to be effective.
It was just pressure washed by the previous lco. 2 weeks ago.

Wow... two weeks and it's bad enough to need it again? Whew!

Personally, I don't know what you could use... we use enviro-safe detergents manufactured locally and sold locally... I'll ask the guy next time we're in there if they do shipping to other states, or if they try to stay local.

In the meantime, just try the Google search and talk to locals about their detergents.

If these landscape stone you speek of are natural grey concrete in color and there is aging to them then you probly wont get them new looking again. But you can use this http://www.tractorsupply.com/webapp....ge=true
this stuff works great as a multi-purpose cleaner.

Its not like that! He and his wife just started running a daycare out of his house and he wants them looking fresh.

They might not clean up to much though if they are just aged. I didn't think of that. Same as a driveway I guess.
