Craigslist ad

I am new to the lawn care business (which is to say I do not have any customers yet, giving my first estimate today). I have been placing an ad on craigslist and would like to hear your opinions on the ad. Lawn care business tips

I think they look good. Right to the point. The first one has an issue on the image shown on my computer. The picture is split down the middle with a 2 inch space separating the halves. Other than that, they are good.

With my latest ad I have taken a different approach, Marketing the time one will save by having me do their lawn.

I am have that problem on craigslist.

I was thinking, you could create an offer that is available for a limited time only. That might help you get more callers to jump and make the call to you.

What have you thought of your response from craigslist so far?

How would you compare the response to other marketing concepts you have experimented with?

Craigslist has been working wonders for me. I've actually started getting a lot more mowing customers now than I was getting before...up to about 36 I think. I've been so busy that I've been working with 1 to 2 other employees every day and have been working 14 days straight with no breaks.

Just yesterday, Craigslist got me a last minute job at the Rocky Mountaineer Railtours station in Vancouver...they said they were willing to pay a "premium" to get the work done ASAP, so I billed them $45/hour per man vs. my regular $35 and put in a full 8 hours today...thank you Craigslist!

Have you been dealing with any tire kickers from craigslist? Do you have a lot of people looking for the cheapest price and that's it or no?

If you don't have that problem, how do you weed those low paying customers out?
