Here is another example of doing good and getting media attention for it. Can you imagine if you were able to hook up with a bunch of businesses in your area and were able to pull this together? Maybe you could organize a fund drive?
Maybe if it wasn't to fly local soldiers home, how about if you found they needed better body armor and you were able to raise funds for that?
Could you maybe raise money to buy flowers for the mother's of soldiers or the wives of soldiers in your area on mother's day?
Any thoughts on this? Or do you have another creative idea?
The 34-year-old mother of two has one less worry now. She and 40 other members of the Nebraska Army National Guard's 110th Medical Battalion training at Fort Lewis, Wash., found out Thursday that Nebraska business leaders would pay the soldiers' fares home.
Banker Roy Dinsdale of Palmer and 20 of his friends and associates put up the $24,000 needed to get the soldiers home. An additional $16,000 that was raised will be kept in reserve.
