Promoting a walk/run?

Can you imagine promoting your own walk/run 5k in your area? What if you chose a charity to help and then attached your name to the entire event by promoting it? You would look like a business that really cares for their community. I would think you might want to be in business a few years before you started something like this but hey, if you got the energy and the drive, why not look into doing something like this today! I think it is a large project but a fantastic one. What's your view?
