This was interesting to me. It was a short business article. I don't often see such articles but they do seem to be a good idea.

Several new businesses open - New landscaping business offers homeowners Helping Hand
Many people enjoy working in their yards, but sometimes they need extra hands, muscle and chemical certifications.
Unlike other businesses, a new company called Helping Hand Landscaping lets the owners help, thus saving money and time.
With spring weather on its way, Helping Hand can assist homeowners and businesses with the application of pre-emergent crabgrass and broadleaf control as spring fertilizer is applied.
Clients might wonder what should be cut back and what replaced. Are the plants, bushes and trees healthy? What improvements should be made? Helping Hand gives free consultations and advice.
Helping Hand works side by side with the owners or independently. The company’s services include adding walkways or new vegetable, flower and water gardens and fertilizing and treating grass and plants. When the projects are finished, the owners will know how to care for their new improvements.
Owner Jim Bacon is certified with a commercial applicator license for pesticide applications including Core, 3B (ornamental) and 3a (turfgrass) that allows him to spray chemicals to kill weeds, fungus and pests as well as apply fertilizers. Years of experience working on the grounds of Northwood University and in a local greenhouse gives Bacon the knowledge to pass on to clients.
For more information, call Bacon at (989) 837-5606 or (989) 615-6171.

Lawn care business tipsLawn Care Business Book
Here was another new small business article, right below it.

All Pro providing lawn care - Two Midland business partners have begun a new business to care for lawns and clean up snow.
Don Kline and Andy Wade own All Pro Lawn and Snow. The two provide lawn care, including mowing, edging and trimming – gutter cleaning, general landscaping and low-voltage lighting to make it look more attractive, custom decks and patios, koi ponds, spring and fall clean-up and snow and ice removal. Koi are Japanese fish that are becoming a popular living yard decoration. A koi pond needs a heater to keep the water at a temperature in which the fish can live year-round.
Although the two men have a riding lawn tractor for bigger jobs, they mostly use motorized push mowers, Kline said.
"It gives a better appearance to the lawn, and it shows that we’re down-to-earth people and we don’t need the big equipment to get the job done," he said.
At least for now, Wade and Kline are focusing on residential work. Kline said customer satisfaction is an important part of their commitment.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, weekday hours after 6 and weekend hours by appointment. The website is www.allprolawnandsnow.com. The phone number is (989) 835-5466, the cell phone (989) 708-9028.

Maybe if you are starting a new business, you could create a press release to look more like a short article like this and maybe it would get picked up by the local paper.
