I'm going to put together a website real soon. I don't know who I am going to use to host my website yet.
I saw yahoo in their small business section has a advertisement for 1.99 for the first year of hosting your website for you. With your own domain. I think it's 9.99/year after that.
Also they have 24hr. customer service if you need help or have have any questions. You can check it out by going to yahoo and looking under small business. I like the 24hr customer support.

I looked up godaddy.com and they are 3.99/month with 24/7 customer support.

What do you think?

Who are you guys using to host your website?

What do I need to look for when looking for someone to host my site?
Or are they all the same and it doesn't really matter?
I've never made a website but look forward to learning how.

Thanks for your input.
Rob

I buy all my domains at godaddy.com There support is 100%. I use my own server for hosting my websites. I also have of site I use. There called AFMU.com They have always had 100% support also.

I've seen godaddy.com recommended a couple times on here. That will probably be who I go with.
AFMU.com's "plan B" is 3.99 for up to 10 domain names.
Do you know if godaddy.com has something similar to that? I looked on their site but I got kind of confused. I don't understand everything they are talking about.
Wouldn't I want a package that would allow me to have several different domain names that can be redirected to my main site? Instead of paying for each domain seperate.

I will be the first to admit. The prices attract me. I will be signing up testing there service for next year. If they are all that they say they are. I will switch all my domains to there service. And promote it.

Hi anadyf,

You might want to consider changing your signature to use pricing in American dollars. A lot of us don't know how to convert your prices in pounds in our heads

I had a bad experience with go daddy and vowed I wouldn't use them again. I have had many websites for this and that over the years and even though yahoo's prices are a little higher, their customer service is top notch. I have been using them for several years. I dont mind paying a little more if I get a little more out of it.
