Truck Modification

Here are some pictures of some modification of one the trucks. First off I am installed a dovetail on the rear bed. Here is photo of it off the truck. Next I am going to make side that I can remove. They will be about 2 ft tall. Buddy of mine gave me some steel 3" pipe, about 25 10ft sections. I am going to weld a 3' galvanize coupler to the bed one the out side photo below and screw the 2ft pipe into then use bolts to fasten the top rail to the poles. This was I can remove the side easy when I want them off the truck. All I will have to do is take the top rail off and unscrew the pipes. Ill show some photos below. Here is my new toy I use for working mulch picking up yard waste.

WOW. I can't wait to see what the truck will look like when you are done! The vinyl graphics came out great on your 4-wheeler! Amazing! How long will it take to get the dovetail attached to the truck?

I will have it done tomorrow. That four wheeler is a UV Utility Vehicle. I payed $1,500 for that last month. Its very handy tool to have in the lawn business. It will pay for it self after a while.

Rodman, this may sound like a crazy idea, but have you ever thought of doing more modifications like this and making awesome, used, lawn care trucks?

Then just as superlawntruck scaled up you could too.

Start with used trucks, then maybe work towards new trucks to base it on.

Now I think there trucks can get into 6 figures.

If you were to sit there and think about this, could you make this worth your while?

How much would it cost to buy the used truck, alter it and then what could you sell it for?

Then you got all the free advertising you could want here LOL so what the heck!

You could also videotape the modifications and we could stick them in the GopherHaul show. We could have a section that's called "Rodman's Garage" or something like that.

I bought 2 of those trucks, for 750.00 each. without the beds. I installed that b I can bed on there last week. Ill do some thinking on this see where it leads. i could build website call it CustomLawnTrucks.com Also was thinking I dont have to buy the trucks all the time. Customer can buy there own truck bring it to me I can do all the custom stuff they want. Under carridge fuel tanks for Gas 2 Cycle Gas Diesel so on.

Yea! Those are both great ideas!

You could do mods and sell trucks. I don't know which would make you more money but I am guessing, modifications on lco trucks would require less cash outlay on your part. That is a good thing.

How about this for a name. HotRodLawnTrucks.com?

You could play the slogan off your name.

"Rodman turns truck into HotRodLawnTrucks."

Then you could really do up graphics too. Like flame jobs and stuff like that.

It could add a lot of pizazz and sizzle to the business.

It would be like Orange County Chopper. Rebellious. Different. And everyone would want one.
