i have been reading this post, and thought i might add a complex also to get advise. I have never put in a bid for a big place like this. I was going to see how to price it, not sure on the acres. I know they want mowing, edging, weedeating, and blowing the parking lot. I have a exmark 60' triton and a 42' walker with a bagger, and weedeater, edger, and blower. Any advise that is helpful. Any Questions i will try to answer them the best i can, i just know its up for bid

What would u think it would be with 2 people and proably 2 mowers going at the same time just by looking at it

Hi landonkade,

I asked Keith to jump in here and offer you some suggestions. Or maybe Troy has some thoughts too?

Hi pnplawn,

Any advice as to how you break down such a large area to create your bid? What are the steps you take to come to a final $ amount to service the property?

I based that price on each unit. There is 98 units located there. I charged 7.65 per unit per cut. Takes about 10 minutes each unit to cut. Then you x that by 98 and you get 749.70 per week. Then I times that by 4 you get 2998.80 I rounded it to 3000.00 per month.

can u give me a round about figure for the apartments of mine above. Like total charge for the weeks cutting and a bi-weekly cutting price with edging, weedeating, and blowing. There is a little back yard on the very bottom part where u see a field

PNP - You're awesome. That's great the way you break down the larger job into managable units and then multiply upward to get your final price.
