On the other hand I can buy it for $4500 and risk having to put a new engine in. No matter how new something looks doesnt mean it wont have problems. I bought some beat up looking stuff that was trouble free and some shiny stuff that was garbage.

Lawn care business tips

Steve: Any place that you would recommend for the seat replacement. I wouldn't need to tape it. Either a new seat or bottom seat cushion. It's like someone that was 550 sat on it for 2 straight years and all the padding is flat as a door.

Have you found that the mower being an issue tends to be the biggest gamble of buying used? Is that the biggest part that can hide problems or are there other issues you make sure you look out for?
