Do you use a salesman?

I've often thought about sales reps. it's a touchy field though....in past companies I've worked with some great ones, and some not so trusting ones. I've always looked at sales reps as a "gun for hire" kind of person. They are the go getters, hungry for money. They won't stick around long because they will tap out a market and move on to another company. Turn over rates for sales reps are high, but they are good at what they do....sell sell sell. But what if there was a way to twist it around? A way like DPLD was talking about or maybe pay a certain commision off new sales (1 to 1), and maybe a bonus based off revenues? Who knows, I'm just rambling. But I think one day I'll give it a shot. If you can come up with a good plan that will benefit you, I know you'll do well.
