Default This is my 3rd post and probably my last.

I wanted to say a couple of things to some of the senior members of this forum.
I joined Gohper to maybe try and get some advice from people all around the country who have been in the buisness for a long time.
What I'm finding out real quick is that there are some members who just want to tear you apart for asking questions that you expect to get some constructive advice from. You guys that want to stick your chest out and show everyone how its done. Forums like this dont need arrogant, pompus know it alls who use forums to show off their knowledge. The replys that I got from some of you had no relevence to anything I was was trying to get advice on.
Since this is the off season and you guys dont have anything better to do than come up with smart a** remarks to some junior members who are looking for some help I have this to say. Get a life.
To Steve, thanks for putting together this forum, I appreciate your comments, the calculators and templates that are provided here. They are going to help out alot.
You always here this said " there are no stupid questions, only stupid people who refuse to ask them".
This would be a great forum if it wasnt for the arrogant know it alls who use forums like this to shoot down people who come here for advice.

Lawn care business tips
We have answered the questions you asked. Like you said there is no such thing as a dumb question. If you dont like the answeres that were given Im sorry but we try to answer all or your questions honestly so you do not get steared wrong, forgive me if that is wrong of us. We are just trying to help you avoid future headaches that we have all been through already.

However, this post shows me that you dont want our advice and to say that we dont have a life is extreamly rude of you. If this is how you are going to act then we do not need you on this forum.

I wish you well in the future of your LCO.

Hope it wasent somthing I said .I would like to say, that in the winter months it seems we do get a bit mouthy ,probably because we have too much time on our hands ,or possibly because we want to get going on the 7 million dollars worth of accounts we picked up during the off season .

Am I that much of an A-hole I don't think any one is being mean. Are you mad that people are saying commercial mowers last longer? Or is it that people are trying to make sure your ok using fertilizer and not getting a $10,000 fine?

i read the whole thread and i did not see anything out of the norm when someone ask's about a particular mower, namely a home owner brand.

i read your post and understood clearly that money was a issue and being that's the case i would suggest staying within your budget because debt always bites you in the butt when you are starting out.

when you post a question about what mower is better and the choices are 2 good brands but home owner models you are always gonna get people telling you to buy a better mower.
there is nothing wrong with that advice and just because it is a commercial machine it does not mean you are gonna spend 10k.

i think you overlook your credit worth because if lowes or home depot was giving you credit then you would have had no issue getting at a dealer.

plus the commercial lines carry less expensive models that may cost a little more then what you paid but they are also running 0% financing deals with deferred payments.

either way you did what you had to do and what you feel was best and that is all that matters and just like all of us you should be happy you got something.

i did not see any chest bumping or anything like that and you actually initiated what little there was with the " no shi t " comments.

there are a lot of people on here that know what they are doing and have the wisdom to share but there are also many just like you who are starting out so you need to take some of the things posted here with a grain of salt.

I'm not sure why people ask for advice then get mad about the answers. But hey, whatever floats his bloat. He asked our help and we gave it. Good luck if you decide to stick it out and keep going. Hopefully we could get an update mid season...

Lets get real. Looking over your post, equipment isnt the problem. Your either cheap, dont believe in yourself or broke.

Your struggling for start up cash when you been making 70k for 20 years? I had more start up cash then you working minimum wage for 2 years. I dont see how you can run a business when you mismanaged that much money. Hire a accountant your going to need one.
