RedMax VS Stihl

Okay i am in need of some opinions please! I am looking at purchasing either the RedMax Maxtreme or the Stihl Professional Kombisystem next spring in 2013. The both seem to be great machines with basically the same attachments. I was just wondering if anyone has used either piece of equipment and wondering what yalls opinions, suggestions, and or complaints/likes are about the machines. Thanks in advance, Jeremy

Lawn care business tips

I have the older kombi 110R. It works good but I only have a few attachments (trimmer, edger,). I havent tried the hedge trimmer yet but hedgemaster has it and likes it. As far as the power head havent any issues. I only used a regular redmax trimmer and hedge trimmer. So I cant comment on that but I prefer my redmax blowers over stihl any day.

Go with the stihl. I have most of the attachments and love it. Make sure you run the ultra oil in it. Stihl will extend your warranty by a year or two if you do.

I use all echo and stihl products have for years. One of my local landscape dealers started selling redmax, but does not service them. The service shop
in town about 3 miles away is full of redmax products. Some people might
like redmax, but I would stay with echo, stihl, or husqvarna.

That doesnt mean much. As far as Stihl and Redmax being compared. I have never liked a stihl product more then a Redmax. Granted I havent used every Redmax product but the ones I did I prefer.

One advantage that noone brings up is you cant order stihl parts online. I always save by shopping online. You cant do that with stihl. Your stuck with the dealer for everything.
