to print 1000 on my own would be much cheaper, the avg price i saw to get somebody else to do it was 200 bucks for 1000 and that didn't include shipping and other hidden fees. (unless i'm just not going to the right place) doing it myself i should get 1000 for under 100 bucks. i admit, not as great as a nice full size glossy door hanger, but they are good enough for me.

i spent 75 dollars yesterday on ink, cardstock, a hole puncher for the 2 inch hole. already have the paper cutter. have printed off 100 so far and i really like them. I have white card stock and neon green. the neon green is very eye catching. when i find my cell phone today i will snap a few pictures of the finished product and see what you think. it didn't take much time to make the 100 this morning, instead of getting the pre cut stock, i just used my paper cutter and an 8 dollar punch from the craft store for the 2 inch holes. i cut one side with siccors to make it easier to fit on the door.

Lawn care business tips
took a picture of the green one and then the white one, on a white door. it is hard to read them from the picture though. but they are easy to read. i was able to read them without my glasses anyways.. the white is 110# card stock, the green 65% card stock, the paper weight seems good.. not thinking i'll have a problem with them blowing off doors.

No problem. As long as you have all round door knobs. Try putting it on a lever handle in a 10 mph wind.
We had 10,000 printed and they have die cut holes for knobs and a small rubber band on them for alternate knob styles. It also has a peel back adhesive area at the top so you can stick they to a door also. So 3 methods of attachment.
Can't remember where I got them though lol.

I like the white one because it creates a good contrast with the text and images. The greater contrast allows for easier reading.

Keep us posted on how all this works out for you.

Nice door hangers!

I had 500 magnetic sports calendars done in the fall. I walked a few subdivisions. I had to purchase bags to hang them from door knobs.

To save you time you may consider bags. I purchased 1000 for about $23 from Uline.com

I am very new to this business. I only do it part time. I have been learning alot from this forum.

Just a thought.

How many did you get out and what kind of response rate did you get from them? Would you do them again?

I have confirmed 2 weekly customers and 1 mulch job.

I walked the subdivisions that I live close to. It cost me appoximately $230.00.

I used magnetstreet.com. They have a great product.

In the spring, I will be ordering 1000 baseball calendars. The season runs just about the length of my mowing season.

I am looking to max out at 30 clients. I am a one man show. I am fortunate to be a full time firefighter with lots of time off.

Thank you!!!!

just thought i'd mention.. looks like i get about 1000 printed for right around 50 bucks. the yellow ink goes the quickest. i'm glad i can buy the individual carts instead of one cart with all 3 colors. i make about 200 in an hour.. yeah, a little bit of time, but a money saver for me. if i can get 1 or 2 full program sales out of 1000 it would be worth it, so we will see what happens.

I have no clue how many i can get out by myself in a day... I never put out doorhangers before, back in the day i had somebody drive me through while i tacked them to the wooden part of mailbox. the best and most legal thing to do without any troubles seems to be put it on the front door or mail it.

Have you figured out how many ink cartridges you go through printing them in that hour?

Also keep us posted on how the distribution of them goes.

yeah, about 1/4 of the cartridge per 200 door hangers. yellow cart goes the fastest, i'm glad i can by the individual colors.. its a bit of a hassle really, but i don't mind this time, if i have some success i probally will take your advice and get a bunch printed.
