Default Zero Turn Lift Jacks

To change zero turn (72 inch decks and under) mower blades is time consuming. I would think most people do not change/sharpen blades as often due to the hassel of jacking/lifting up the mower high enough to get under the deck safely to remove the blade(s) bolt(s). I searched the internet and found some real nice lift jacks made for zero turns but most styles are expensive when you get into the larger decks.

I would like to know how most of you lift/jack up your mowers with 60-72 inch decks? Looking for a fast and easy safe way.

go with this mower

http://www.walkermowers.com/
check them out on youtube
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Wr_2...4AB8B08048C3B3

you can get deck up to 74" and decks are interchangable and 10 times easier to clean/change/sharpen blades.
you can get a collection system or get a side discharge setup
i am aiming to buy one next year, i have a distributor that has several used models that have come in on trade for new units, im going used to control my budget but hope to go with a new one for the 2014 season

Default Hi Lift Jack

Those Mojacks are really nice but a bit pricey for starting a lawn business. I saw a video on youtube this guy using a Hi Lift Jack to lift his ZTR. Also called a Farmers Jack or Bumper Jack. The price varies between $50-$100 depending what ton and construction it is and where you buy it. This jack can be used for many other things like pulling up posts, roots, lifting up large fallen branches so that you can cut them with a chainsaw, etc.

Does anyone use a hi lift jack and how they like or dislike it?

I took a piece of channel iron 6" wide and cut it 42" long. then I cut another piece 24" long and welded them together. Welded some braces between them to make sure it didn't give in the middle then welded 2 pieces of 1" square tubing 24" long to make sure it doesn't tip over. I just drive up on my ramp and it gets my mowers high enough to do anything I want to do under the deck. I just put mine against the side of my shop to keep it from scooting out from under the tire. I will probably anchor it to the concrete floor for full access under the deck soon. this set up didn't cost me a thing because I used scrap metal from work. You could probably find some scrap metal and build you own pretty cheap.

I'd love to see a picture of that.
