Leaf clean up

I would like to think everyone on here for all the discussions on leaf clean up.It helped me alot today.I did my first leaf job today.The owner loved my speedy clean up and was impressed with being to get it all on one trailer.He said it normally takes three trailer full to get the job done.I couldn't get any thing but my 21" mower in the yard.So what i did was mow and bag the whole yard and then came back and blew the flower beds out.By mowing and bagging it compresed every thing to a much smaller size and took up less space.There was so much leafs i had to mow before i could even blow the beds out.But it still worked great.If it hadn't been for reading different discusion on here i would have raked and blowed and probaly still been hauling.Thanks to everyone who talked about mulching it and bagging it.The customer is my full time employer.He is closing the doors on the company at the end of the year.He is 79 years old still pooring concrete.One of the best people i have ever worked for.I was completly happy today when he said i don't have to worry about you.After watching you do this you'll be busy and making a living and probaly to busy to take care of my yard next year.LOL

Steve you and i had a discussion in another forum about how immportant lettering on your equipment is and i mentioned being recomened from other customers worked just as much as lettering.By coincident the customer i did this work for today recommened me for a versa lock wall(which i've done alot of) job that i just had a phone call on.Phone call was from a previous employer that i had worked for from 8-18 years old.They only bad thing is for what he needed versa lock block wouldn't have worked.I would rather tell somebody that what they want would not work than do a job that will fell in the long run.

Now that you have a chance to look back at your leaf cleanup, do you feel there were any steps you could have taken to further improve your fall cleanup processes?

Also, for those not where you are yet, what tips would you suggest to them and what would you tell them to avoid or look out for?
