usually all you do is pop off the bearing cap and pop on the bearing buddy.

i can say in all honesty that i have never had a issue with any trailers i have owned that were equipped with them and as long as your trailer is solid and got good rubber and good lights about the only thing that can go wrong is the bearings and the buddy's eliminate that worry.

It be cool if they made them for cars too

Oh and why do they make joints in the front end without grease fittings! It drives me nuts!

they do for the big rigs and the reason why they don't make joints in the front end with grease fittings anymore is because they want you to wear the part out so you need a new one and have to pay them some more of your hard earned sheckles.

i think it has a lot to do with manufacturing where as the grease free joints are cheaper to make as well as they are also lighter because with the growing mileage standards set on the car co's they have to trim down on weight any where they can as well as increase the cars technology to meet the standards.

This is what my bearings looked like driving for two weeks with no dust cap. The bearing buddies didnt go on that easy. Its better to have a hand to hold the block of wood.
